We're a group of musicians from the Pittsburgh area who get together and play Irish traditional tunes. The Steeltown Session is an open "tune session" as opposed to a song session or mixed session.Anyone who plays Irish traditional music is welcome, although it is requested that a traditional instrument be played. This would include; Fiddle, Guitar, Mandolin, Flute, Whistle, Concertina/Button Box Bodhran, etc. (Bongos, Glockenspiels, Sousaphones, Theremins and Hurdy Gurdys are generally frowned upon and met with disdain).
Sessions are held on the last Thursday evening of each month at the Harp and Fiddle Irish Pub.
More more details, see the session info page.
